More Than a Flight School

At Tailwind Air, flying isn’t just a skill — it’s a passion passed down through generations. We’re more than instructors and students; we’re a community built around adventure, discovery, and the timeless dream of taking to the skies.

Our Mission

We founded Tailwind Air with one simple goal: to make the dream of flight accessible, safe, and unforgettable. Whether you’re training toward your pilot’s license or just discovering aviation for the first time, our mission is to guide you with professionalism, patience, and a true love for flying.

Meet Our Founder - Aaron Kretchmer

From his very first flight lesson, Aaron knew the sky was where he belonged. Growing up in a family of aviators, airplanes weren’t just machines, they were a way of life. After earning his pilot’s license and logging countless hours in the cockpit, he realized his greatest joy wasn’t only in flying, but in sharing that experience with others. That vision inspired the creation of Tailwind Air, a flight school built on passion, professionalism, and a deep love for adventure. Today, Aaron leads with the belief that anyone with the dream of flight can achieve it, with the right guidance and support.

“Learning to fly an airplane taught me a way of thinking, an approach to problem-solving that was applicable and effective. Pilots are very methodical and meticulous, and artists tend not to be.”
